LGBT Celebration | Why We Support LGBT

The LGBT community has always been subject to controversies from across the globe. Imagine being different from the masses, keeping this secret locked inside you because you know if you’d come out, you’d be accused of violating the laws of society and nature itself. This is what its like to be a member of the LGBT community, only the reality is worse than we can imagine.  At the cost of your mental wellbeing, you’re supposed to act like you’re okay and attempt to fit in with what society considers normal. You’re stuck in a mental prison created by common people who refuse to accept you because you don’t conform.

But imagine someone listens to you without judgement. What if they know your secret and still accept you with open arms? Someone who doesn’t perceive you as a monster. How wonderful would the world be then? How much easier would it be to breathe without suffocation? Members of the LGBT community for the longest time could only imagine what its like to be an equal and respectable member of the society.

Respect and Compassion for the Members of the Community

We here at Judijane believe that everyone deserves to be welcomed with respect and dignity regardless of their religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and other distinctions that make them stand out. When it comes to the rights of the LGBT community, its safe to say that we’ve experienced positive change from across the globe. Some economies are now more considerate towards policy making to render a sense of inclusiveness to the LGBT members. Besides that, the public is also somewhat more informed than they were previously, and as a consequence, more accepting towards people.

The corporate culture today is introducing new anti-discrimination policies to safeguard the rights of the people. Despite the good numbers in statistics that relate to positive change, there is a lot that still needs to be done in this area. The remaining lot of societies that aren’t very welcoming towards the LGBT community have deprived them of healthcare insurance, equal opportunities, and other rights you receive as a citizen. The social disapproval is another thing you need to deal with.

Tis the reason why we encourage equal opportunities and access to all the facilities the state offers for the people of the LGBT community simply because all the religions in the world and the progressing societies promote acceptance, love, and compassion for its people, not because its an obligation but because it’s the way its supposed to be.

Diversity is what makes a society natural and alive. If we all were destined to be the same way possessing similar ethnicities, mentalities, and biological features, we wouldn’t be sent as humans on earth. Rather, we would’ve been sheep in a herd who follow each other without having a personal sense of direction. The same notion needs to be communized within the society through education, persuasion, and active participation with the LGBT community. Everyone deserves to be loved and respected regardless of how different they are from us.
